You are invited to participate in the Seventeenth Annual Ground Systems Modeling, Validation, and Testing Workshop, planned for 30 - 31 October 2007, in Warren, Michigan.
This workshop serves as a technical forum that brings together members of the government, university, and industrial research communities to discuss current developments in ground systems modeling, validation, system level assessment, optimization and laboratory and field testing. The workshop is sponsored by the U.S. Army Tank-automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC), co-sponsored by the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC), and hosted by Signature Research, Inc. (SGR).
The focus of this workshop is on technical advancements relating to modeling and measurements of targets, backgrounds and targets in backgrounds. The Workshop Organizing Committee especially encourages papers that address signatures in the context of modeling, metrics, measurement, model validation, trade-studies, performance optimization, training and in addition, characterization of background and clutter and their impact of these on sensor performance. Papers are also encouraged that address the state of the art in sensors and approaches to assessment of signature management in many-on-many combat effectiveness models.
Workshop sessions will be RESTRICTED TO UNITED STATES OF AMERICA CITIZENS ONLY.

Formal papers will be presented during sessions on 30 and 31 October. The Focus Sessions will convene on 31 October in the afternoon and will feature open discussions on current topics of interest to the community.
