Original papers are solicited on the following topics:

  • data, techniques, tools, models, model validation and testing of signatures for ground systems, camouflage, and backgrounds in all sensor domains including visible, NIR, SWIR, MWIR, LWIR, radar, MMW, acoustic and non-imaging sensors
  • combat and other end-use models that require target signatures and are used for operations analysis
  • denial and deception and obscurant countermeasure signature modeling and testing
  • measurements of material properties including spectral reflectance, BRDF, etc.
  • target and background signature metrics
  • multispectral target and background scene simulation and rendering
  • modeling geometries, geometry issues, i.e. conversion, resolution, creation, databases
  • countermine and counter IED sensors, simulation, and signature modeling
  • geospatial information as applied to RSTA (spatio and temporal variation)
  • multispectral background clutter and its impact on sensor/seeker system performance
  • target acquisition, tracking, modeling and validation for autonomous or human-in-the-loop systems
  • hardware-in-the-loop testing (incl. scene generation and projection)
  • laboratory and field testing and evaluation of signature and human-in-the-loop performance including instrumentation, techniques, calibration, and validation
  • polarization sensors, signature modeling and measurements
  • robotic vehicle signatures, sensors, and applications
  • virtual prototyping, design and camouflage optimization, and case studies where models have impacted system design.

Important Deadlines

Submission of Abstracts - 18 June 2007

Submission of Abstracts

All abstracts must be unclassified, with unlimited distribution. Abstracts must be 200-300 words in length, and should clearly describe the research, development or engineering to be presented. Brief biographical sketches of the authors are also requested. The presentations are limited to 20 minutes with an additional 5 minutes of question and answer. Underline the name of the anticipated presenter.

Please submit your abstract electronically using the submission form.

The main author will be notified of receipt of abstract by e-mail or fax. If you submit an abstract and do not receive notification of receipt within two weeks, please contact Ms. Ramona Danis or Ms. Stacy Kalcich, or call (906) 337-3360
