Directions to the facility (e.g., from the airport and other key origins):
Take eastbound I-94 freeway toward Detroit
Exit on to northbound I-75 freeway
Exit on to eastbound I-696 freeway
Take exit #23/Van Dyke Ave. (M-53) onto E 11 Mile Road
Enter TACOM Detroit Arsenal on your right and go to Bldg. 232 (see map for detail)
Immediately notify the security guard that you are with the Ground Systems Modeling Validation and Testing Workshop
The guard will instruct you on how to obtain your car pass and visitor's badge for access to the facility. Ask for a 2-day car pass and visitor badge.
Important Note:
Plan on arriving at the Arsenal Gate approximately 45 minutes prior to the start of workshop session on 30 Oct. for badge processing. U.S. Citizens must have a picture identification (i.e., state driver’s license, passport,
military ID, etc.) to present at the TARDEC Security Gate. No one will be allowed on base with cameras (video, still, or photographic cell phone), firearms or weapons of any type, flammable
materials or pressurized canisters.
